| AP Biology Lab |
The Hancock High School Science Department offers Physical Science at the freshman level and Biology at the sophomore level. Physics, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, AP Biology, and AP Chemistry are available at the junior and senior levels.
All students are required to take a minimum of three science classes during their high school years, including Biology and either Chemistry or Physics. (Students who are interested in taking more than the minimum number of science courses may be approved to take Biology as freshmen and Chemistry as sophomores.)
All courses emphasize hands-on, relevant learning, along with meeting the requirements of the Michigan Merit Curriculum. Laboratory work is a key component of each course, and three well-supplied, state-of-the art science labs provide a safe, productive learning environment for students.
