Hancock Public Schools Foundation

Established in 1987, the Hancock Public Schools Foundation receives and distributes funds for charitable and educational activities that assist in the development, implementation or maintenance of programs that significantly contribute to the education of Hancock Public Schools students. The Foundation is a registered IRS 501 (c )(3) organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Focus on Funding

The Hancock Public Schools Foundation was recently featured on the WLUC-TV6 segment, The UPSide. The series focuses on people, businesses and organizations that make a positive difference in UP communities. It was very rewarding to have our work recognized. Click here to watch the video.

Industrial Arts & Technology

Industrial Education machine shopAlmost a year ago the HPSF approved a grant request to replace decades-old engine lathes in the Industrial Education Department. They arrived this fall and are providing valuable experience for students.

Industrial Education teacher Gary Mishica says, "These replacement machines will greatly assist us in our "hands-on learning" and permit us to again teach a unit on lathe turning with emphases on metal precision and accuracy."

Thanks to all of you who support the Foundation and our Hancock Public Schools!
